Our 6,000 square foot Visitors Center and parking area offers improved amenities and distinctively welcomes visitors with comfort, beauty and hospitality.

The Location

The site location is on the east side of the Museum grounds and next to the Arkansas River, which showcases the building along McLean Boulevard and Central Avenue. The Visitors Center is across the street from the Wichita Art Museum.

Inside areas include a gift store, restrooms, catering kitchen, food service area, admissions counter, a large multi-purpose area and storage areas. Doors to the patio from the multi-purpose room expands the space even further, allowing visitors to an event or rental function to flow inside and out. The location of the Museum store offers the opportunity for year-round shopping and the Visitors Center’s multi-purpose room is available for rent. The "Trail to the West" guides our guests from the visitors center to Cowtowns historic grounds that portrays the "old west" from the late half of the 19th century.
