Living COLLECTIONS

As a part of Cowtown’s living history program, the Museum has animals that add to the authentic experience of life in a town and farm. Animals include Percheron horses, Longhorn Steer, a Red Shorthorn Durham milk cow, Brahma chickens, Dominique chickens, and a retired United States Cavalry Horse.

The percheron horses are used to cultivate and harvest the fields as well as give stagecoach and wagon rides to visitors. They are an integral part of the living history experience at Cowtown.
